Top 5 Beaches

I thought I'd give this 'Page' thing a try and give you something else to read if you were getting bored of my blogging. So this is the first of many pages so that I can keep a running top 5 of different places, activities and stories over the last 15 months or so of travelling. It may change as time goes on and more places are visited but it might give anyone who wants to see some of the places I have been to a bit more of an idea of where to go.

So the first top 5 since I am in my favourite beach spot since I have been away is therefore:

1. Perhentian Islands, Malaysia
A glorious white sand beach surrounded by thick jungle in a large rounded bay. The water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming


2. Lake McKenzie, Australia
That's right, a lake! Found at Fraser Island with the finest sand ever on the edge of a freshwater lake

3. Koh Tao, Thailand
The beach me and Alice found away from the guest houses where we watched the sun set whilst sipping Chinese tea in a restaurant over the water

 

4. Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand
The beach me, Briony and Annie found a short boat ride from the main Haad Rin beach.

5. Hoi An, Vietnam
Eating fresh crab with tamarind sauce on the beach and partying until the sun came up on my birthday
